ports of callPorts of Call

Ports of call visitors choose and return to this 3-star hotel for its amazing location, at a budget price. Because the island can get pricey, finding a great budget resort at walking distance from most restaurants, Grace Bay beach and across the street from the grocery store is an exciting deal.

Among the 7 restaurants and bars, guests love the savory Mexican at The Skull Rock, the island’s freshest croissants at Tribe, smoothe, yummy ice cream from Giggles, and the newly opened Sweet fix, a delight for anyone who loves treats of all kinds. Finally, if you’d like upscale, indoor outdoor mediterranean dining, the Cielo recently opened on the second floor of Ports of Call.

ports of call bedroomThe resort offers a variety of accommodation options, including standard rooms for 2, Deluxe pool rooms and their garden view rooms for up to 4 guests.

Families with small children will be happy to know the resort has a children’s playground, a wading pool and babysitting services. Amenities also include shuffle-board, table tennis and billiards.

SibonneSibonne

This beachfront 3-star boutique hotel is one of the most affordable ways to wake up with a stunning ocean view every morning of your vacation. The most affordable option on the island, the resort’s perfect location is right on Grace Bay beach, walking distance from restaurants and the Grace Bay downtown area, yet far enough from big resorts to offer a calm and semi-private beach experience to its guests. If you fancy touring the island on a bike, on-site bicycles rentals are available.

Sibonne bedroomAlthough Sibonne has only one restaurant and bar called Bay bistro, it’s an expat favorite for their delicious weekend brunch deals and in our opinion, serves the best grouper dish on the island. It’s featured in our Food and Drink in the Turks and Caicos: 10 ways to enjoy and save money article. Click the link to find out how (for an extra $50) you can book a table right on the beach, and enjoy one of the most stunning romantic dinner venues ever!

Visit https://www.sibonne.com/ to book a Courtyard Value Room.

Finally, guests can choose between courtyard value rooms, courtyard standard rooms, balcony ocean view accommodations, captain’s quarter ocean view rooms, premier beachfront rooms, first mate ocean view rooms and a beachfront king bed apartment. All Sibonne accommodations are suitable for up to 2 guests, so larger families must book multiple rooms.

Royal West IndiesRoyal West Indies

This 4-star beachfront resort is loved by many for its friendly, helpful staff, beautiful beach view and weekly Sunset Punch Party. But the first thing one notices on arrival is the beautiful pool and whimsical gardens, especially in the evenings.

With hobby cats, kayaks, and bicycles, it’s perfect for active travelers who like to move, without spending extra money.

Royal West Indies bedroomThe Pelican Bay Restaurant & Bar is the only venue onsite. Cocktails are sophisticated and original, with a 2×1 happy hour that pleases many. Whether you are staying on the property or not, it’s a must-visit during your stay in Providenciales. To top this off, the resort offers all-you-can-eat lobster every Wednesday, Surf and Turf carnival every Friday, and a Jerk fiesta every Sunday, so you’ll undoubtedly be entertained with great food, and live local music.

The resort is located on Grace Bay beach, at a biking distance from the downtown Grace Bay Area, where you can find most restaurants and shops. It offers a choice of oversize studios, plus one and two-bedroom suites. For each option, guests can decide if they want an ocean view, ocean front, or garden accommodations.

Ocean ClubOcean Club

Tennis and golf lovers highly enjoy Ocean Club resorts which include two 4-star resorts. The first, Ocean Club West, is located in the heart of Grace Bay, walking distance from restaurants and shopping. It has tennis and pickleball courts. The second, Ocean club East, is located right across from the famous Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club, a little further away from downtown Grace Bay. The best is, both are beachfront resorts on Grace Bay Beach and for those who want to experience both resorts, a free shuttle is available between the two.

Ocean Club bedroomCombined, the 2 resorts offer 4 bars and restaurants, from the offsite fine dining Opus, to delicious sushi served beachfront at Solana, guests are well served. The Cabana bar and grill is reputed as a great spot to watch perfect sunsets, while sipping your favorite cocktail. BBQs are available for those who want to show off their grilling skills.

Parents can give their kin busy with the free Ocean Club SEAfari, a self-guided exploration game with fun prizes. Available babysitting services make it an accommodating resort for young families. And, for those who like to add a bit more adventure to their schedule, the front desk happily sets you up with a variety of activities like diving, kiteboarding and horseback riding.

Guests can stay in a studio, studio deluxe, junior suite and one or two bedroom suites. All are available with your choice of garden view, oceanview or oceanfront location.

The SandThe Sand

This 4-star hotel is well-known for its delicious beachfront breakfast served at Hemingways. The only restaurant available on site, it’s menu is varied and satisfies most guest cravings, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Tennis courts, free bikes and unmonitored water sports are all available for guests at the resort. And as a bonus, The Sand is the only budget friendly resort with 3 pools!

The Sand bedroomThe Sand’s location is one of its strong points. You can walk to downtown Grace Bay, but you can also walk to the island’s famous fish fry, a Thursday night event everyone attends. Temporarily in hiatus during the pandemic, the Fish Fry is back and we tell you about it.

Visit https://thesandstc.com/ to book.

Located right on Grace Bay beach, accommodations are all suites. Choose between junior, one or 2-bedroom versions, then decide on ocean front, oceanview, garden view or courtyard locations. Because of their more luxurious feel, the rooms are one of the resort’s strongest assets, when compared with other budget friendly options.

Villa Del MarVilla Del Mar

Villa del Mar is an intimate 4-star condominium property with 42 suites. There isn’t much available at the resort itself in terms of restaurants and bars, but because of its location, there is no need for that. It is surrounded by other resorts such as Grace Bay Club, and several restaurants just across the street. There is a tiki bar on the property though, where the resort hosts a weekly affair with local beats.

Villa Del Mar bedroomThe property’s biggest asset is its privacy. With only 42 suites, guests are few and there’s a peaceful, relaxing vibe. Staff here is reputed to be polite,  friendly, warm, and welcoming.

Although not directly located on Grace Bay beach, you can access the beach with a short walk. Once there, enjoy Villa Del Mar’sbeach service available, which includes staff bringing over cocktails and/or setting you up with fun water sport activities and excursions.

Visit https://www.yourvilladelmar.com/ to book.

The property offers a choice of studios, and one, two and three-bedroom suites for its guests to choose from. All suites are spacious and equipped with full kitchens.

Island Club TurksIsland Club Turks

Just like Villa Del Mar, this is a smaller resort with fewer amenities, but the service and the location more than make up for it. The resort is located right by Salt Mills, the number one souvenir shopping destination on the island, and quite literally in the middle of downtown Grace Bay. Surrounded by cafés, pizza places, fine dining and ice cream parlors, it’s not beachfront, but perfect for those who like the bustle of a city and a short walk  to the beach.

Island Club Turks bedroomThis is perfect for families or couples who enjoy calm settings and exploring local business.

Accommodations include deluxe studios, and two or three-bedroom apartments. All are equipped with a full kitchen. Guests say the rooms and accommodation are spacious and comfortable, and many love the option to walk home after a night out in downtown Grace Bay.

White Villas Resort

If you’re on the fence between staying in a resort suite or choosing a villa, allow us to recommend a unique middle ground: a villa accommodation in a micro-resort. You see, with our small cluster of neighboring villas, we offer privacy and luxury, with the services of a resort, all at an affordable rate.

White Villas Resort has made sure it has everything you and your family might need. First, each villa has its own private pool, terrace, and fully equipped kitchen. Then, there’s loads of complimentary amenities (pickleball court, outdoor gym, bocci, a playground, beach chairs and SUP for the beach). Finally, we also have our very own car rental, boat excursions, and permanent property chef onsite. Resorts are great, because they remove the stress of planning and provide amenities. Villas are amazing for their privacy and space. Traditionally, travelers have  had to sacrifice one or the other, in order to stay in a reasonable price range. We’ve changed that.

You can book a hotel and stay in a suite. But you can also rent a 2, 3 or 4-bedroom villa, with super simple planning and loads of activities, starting at $4000 for a week. Think about it.
