Turks and Caicos Events (A Local’s Guide to Island Celebrations)
At White Villas, we know that spending time on the beach is just one part of a great island vacation. We are Simon, Pina, and Karim. Since we built our first villa in Providenciales in 2016, we have helped countless guests plan amazing trips.
One of the best ways to experience our local culture is by attending Turks and Caicos events. From exciting food festivals to traditional boat races, our islands host wonderful celebrations all year long. We love sharing these special moments with our guests. Let us show you what is happening and the best times to visit.

Winter Festivals and Holiday Fun
Winter is a fantastic time to visit the islands. The weather is perfect, and the holiday spirit brings everyone together. If you are planning family vacations in Turks and Caicos, these winter events are truly magical.
The biggest celebration is the Maskanoo Festival. It takes place on December 26 right on Grace Bay Road. This street festival features a costumed parade, live local music, and lots of delicious food vendors. It is a very safe and fun event for all ages.
Just a few days later, the Junkanoo Jump Up rings in the New Year. On December 31, the streets fill with people dancing in bright costumes. At midnight, the sky over Grace Bay lights up with fireworks. It is a stunning sight to see.
In February, the Valentine’s Day Cup takes place on the quiet island of Middle Caicos. This is a very sweet local tradition. Families gather at Bambarra Beach to watch beautiful model sailboats race in the shallow water. It is the perfect excuse for a fun day trip.
💡 Local tip: If you want to visit Middle Caicos for the Valentine’s Day Cup, you can easily take a short ferry ride from Providenciales.
Spring Sports and Traditions
Spring brings a lively energy to the islands. The weather gets a little warmer, and outdoor activities take center stage.
In March, we have the Wine Cellar Golf and Fishing Tournament. This fun weekend event raises money for local youth charities. Fishing boats head out to catch the heaviest fish, while golfers tee off on the beautiful greens. Even if you do not play, the waterfront parties and weigh-ins are very exciting to watch.
If you visit during Easter, you will love the annual Kite Flying Competition. Held on Easter Monday, this event fills the sky with bright colors. Families craft huge, creative kites and gather on the beaches to fly them. It is a wonderful, relaxed day by the water.
Late May brings the Big South Regatta to South Caicos. This is one of our oldest festivals. It started over 50 years ago. You will see traditional boat races, listen to live music, and enjoy amazing seafood feasts.
Summer and Fall Celebrations
Summer and fall are slightly quieter seasons, but they still pack plenty of fun. This is a great time to find luxury villa deals and enjoy local events without the heavy crowds.
In June, swimmers from all over gather for the Race for the Conch. This is a famous open-water swimming competition held in Grace Bay. There are different race lengths, including a short splash for kids. It is very inspiring to watch from the shore.
July is famous for the Caribbean House Evolution. This is a massive music festival that takes place over a few days. The biggest party happens on Water Cay. Scores of boats pull up to the beach for an all-day music and dance event. If you want to join the fun, checking out our boat rentals and charters is a great idea.
💡 Quick insight: August features Fisherman’s Day in South Caicos. It is a fantastic local party where fishermen compete in conch diving and boat racing.
During the fall, food lovers rejoice. The Caribbean Food and Wine Festival brings international wine experts and amazing chefs to the islands. You can buy tickets for wine tastings and gourmet dinners. In November, the Conch Festival celebrates our national symbol with conch blowing contests and fresh seafood tasting.
